A Quick Diversion:

The Actual News:

Waaahhh! I feel so bad that I finally get this site up and running and with specific goals in mind to fulfill… and then basically all-of-a-sudden I have to move! And it’s not like its just a one-and-done deal, but rather one where I’m helping my parents with not just the move in-and-of-itself, but also helping them sell the house as well; this includes doing a virtual reality tour so it can be seen on real estate websites. Incidentally this also means you’ll be able to see my house from the inside, the same house I lived in when I started PA!, so there’ll be a lot of memories in that VR tour.

But as part of the moving process, I managed to find a bunch of stuff that I want to talk about and share with you guys… either in a later post or in a YouTube video. I’m gonna share some of my ideas here just so you know that I still have plenty of plans for the site, and my lack of updates is due to IRL duties. I mean, not that that was ever in doubt, but more like, I want you guys to know that PA!’s return is, and always has been, SERIOUS BUSINESS.

First off, I found a bunch of old diskettes with classic Mac software on it… as well as ALL of my old “Super Mario Kart 2” custom tracks I designed in KidPix! Ever since I discovered that I can do a ROM hack of Super Mario Kart and add in my own custom tracks, I’ve been on the lookout for these old diskettes such that I can FINALLY create my old tracks in SMK proper. Will I share a video of my design process and journey? Stay tuned!

….

One upside to moving is that it “forced” me to clean my room… this allows me to have much more room to work with when I finally start my YouTube series!

Oh! And I also got a copy of Super Mario 3D All-Stars. This is important news because, well, Super Mario 64 and I have something of a tenuous relationship. While everyone has been talking big about it, I never saw it as anything more than a weak 3D demo, and an even poorer Mario game. What happened to all the power-ups? Levels? LUIGI?!

But….! This was some 25 years ago… surely my opinions on Super Mario 64 have changed in that time? Well, I plan on making a video about this, where I share my thoughts about the game (both what I felt back in the day and what I feel now) and see if maybe I finally “see the light” or not. Stick around for that as well!

Anyways, I still feel really awful for not being able to update the site on a regular basis like I want to. But I want you to know that I have NO PLANS to quit doing this site. I don’t want you guys to think that I’ve given up once again. NOPE! On the contrary, I still have amazing plans for this site and my soon-to-come YouTube series… and so I am not going ANYWHERE! …er, well, other than up to Sacramento, of course. :P

So yeah, I greatly appreciate your patience while I work out this whole moving situation, and I hope to be getting back to regular updates as soon as possible. Huzzah! Good times.
