Er, I mean, it’s not a magazine of illustrations that came with a card insert which happens to be in English… but… aw, here, lemme explain: So a few months back, the March 2021 issue of the Japanese-language magazine “illustration” (イラストレーション) had a special issue dedicated to all kinds of Pokémon TCG artwork used throughout […]

So in my last post I talked about two different times when the various stewards of the Pokémon TCG had accidentally (or maybe “”accidentally””??) revealed how Pokémon TCG cards are designed. But I also said it would be a two-parter, because this third story is pretty big. Like, seriously big. Not only did they basically give us a complete example of how a Pokémon TCG is designed and made, but it actually gives us like… a hundred other complete examples as well! …OK well, maybe not a literal hundred… maybe more closer to like… ninety-two examples. Still tho, this are some AWESOME discoveries that you’re not gonna wanna miss, and it even dovetails perfectly in the “Prototype Blastoise” story from a few months back!

When it comes to making fake Pokémon TCG cards, I’ve learned that there are two main design goals that pretty much every faker aims for. But in both cases it’s about creating something you wish you could see happen in the game itself. Now most of the time we fakers have to do things on our own because… well, it’s not like TPCI and its franchisees will ever give us the tools we need to make the cards we want, right? Well, what if they manage to accidentally reveal those tools to us in plain sight??

Take a look at my indepth analysis on how fake… or real… this recent leak is. And I should know, I’ve made a TON of fake cards over the years!

OK so this is just a short “behind-the-scenes” post for both the website and my fake card making machine… but I felt it was worth sharing it with everyone. The TL;DR version is that my news is now in these easy-to-navigate blocks (which I’m sure you’ve already noticed) and that I’ve finally updated my fake card making capabilities such that I can start making them on a regular basis now. Huzzah!

I’m just gonna make this a quickie post just because I really don’t have much to chat about this time, but I’ve got two minor updates out of the way. e-Reader Page Updates First off: since adding the e-Reader Sprites and e-Reader Entries pages to the site, I’ve been working hard on getting as […]

Okey dokey! Even though it’s been almost a month since my Unity courses actually ended… the fact that those courses encapsulated my life so completely meant that I basically spent this last month playing catch-up in other things in my life, such as getting all the bits and bobs I needed to finally get a […]

Even though I’ve been out of class for a week, I’ve been playing catchup with a whole bunch of other things that I missed out on, so let me share some of it with you! The Most Important Pokemon Card HEY! Remember that article I wrote about that super rare Prototype Blastoise card? Well, […]
