The Actual News:

So if you don’t already know, there was recently a HUGE hack of Nintendo’s super mega secret database of ultra serious secrets, and much of it involved beta versions of various Pokémon games with previously unknown Pokémon in them. I covered the discovery in various Lost Pokémon posts, as well as gathered all the information and sprites about the lost Pokémon from Gold/Silver I could find in the Gold/Silver Lost Pokémon page.

Unfortunately for some of these lost Pokémon, very little information exists about them, aside from their sprites… and even then some of those sprites are only of a singular front and back view. Therefore us fans sort of have to make some stuff up as we go along, such as everything in this post. For example, Twitter user @SoulSilverArt asked about the Pokémon which I have listed as #321 on my “PA! Megadex” number system, which also #402 in one of the Gold/Silver beta ROMS. Specifically, they asked if that Pokémon had any arms, and thought that the circle around its neck was its mouth.

SoulSilverArt then tagged me to see if I had any thoughts on the matter, and so I drew up a quick sketch and posted it with my response… basically, I don’t see any hands or arms, and the orb/circle is exactly that, like a bell around its neck. Here’s the sketches, what do YOU think?

I also thought I’d think up of a pretty neat little PokeDex entry for this little guy, as well as give it the name “Earfull”. Here’s the entry, and I’ll explain the name afterwards.

The name “Earfull” is a slight pun, referencing its design being full of ears, but also the English word “earful“, as in “I’m going to give them an earful when I see them next!”, meaning that someone has a lot to say to someone else, only because they’re angry at them.

Anyways, that’s my little sketch! I thought I’d share it here, partially for anyone who might have missed the post on Twitter, but also to show that I might have more of this kind of simple sketches in the future, so keep visiting the site if you want to see the next ones.
