OK, so the PA! version 9 thing was just a fun little April Fool’s Day joke (I got you Jen!!!). But another idea came up that might be a bit of fun for all of us. Would you guys be interested in working on a set of Pokémon TCG fakes with me, but there’ll be a fun little twist to it. Much like how I did my Totally Baked Ivysaur there, I think we can make a fake for every Pokémon (#001-#486+) but in a totally twisted version of them. Furthermore we can keep the attacks playable too, because I’ve never been too keen stupid bullcrap attacks like “In order for you to use this attack, you must do the Hokey Pokey, because that’s what it’s all about.” All we’d do is just alter the picture and the attack names, and then create realistic attacks according to the twisted version… kinda like Ivysaur’s healing properties when a Fire Pokémon touches it.

Best of all it doesn’t have to be just me doing the artwork, designing and faking, you’ll can give me a hand with it all. I mean, you know me, I’m too busy with everything else in my life, but I’m sure I could spare a few moments of my time working on a few fakes here and there. But I think it’ll be a lot of fun in the end. Whaddya think? Maybe I can even create a LJ/WordPress community for it?

Basically it’s Pokémon jokes that aren’t for the kids, and that the people who grew up with it 10 years ago who are now in their late teens to late 20’s will enjoy. Furthermore I’ll still want to keep it as close to an official set as possible, including making sure the rarities are evenly set. And most of all I really wanna see all the GBA and DS generation Pokémon in either the Neo or even the Classic blanks! That’ll be a real kick!
